Bachelorette Party Shenanigans and Some Goals

To say this weekend was fun would be a lie, it was a freaking blast!!

Friday I went to karaoke with my dad, Marcus and of course all our karaoke buddies there.  We had a great time! I even sang some new songs, which I never do because I'm so comfortable but I thought hey why not?

Saturday I got up and got all packed for this bachelorette party we have been planning for what felt like years but was a couple months.  The bride had no idea what we were doing, it was all a surprise.

The first thing we did was a pole dancing class.  It was so much fun and a great workout, win win!  I will say I don't have a future as a stripper damn because that shit is HARD for real!  I'd be up there like throw me some 20's this is hard work lol

We decided a hotel was needed for the night because nobody needed to be driving.  We had to get ready in our 80's neon outfits.  The bride wanted us to be the golden girls so I ironed on letters and decorated with puff paint.  Mine said "Bride's bitch Sophia" (Yeah I got to be the cool old lady), the other girls were Dorothy and Rose.  The Bride's said "Bride Blanche".  People thought we were nuts. The bride even had a double light up penis headband lol

We went to dinner and had ALOT of tequila then headed downtown for some fun.

Yes that was her cake lmao

The Bride

The fingers from the cake might have been placed in random places, including crotches haha

We danced our asses off. We even had some dance offs and a girl who was clearly a real stripper kept getting in the way of our dance moves lol

Sunday morning was rough.  The bride and I went to eat and had to have a hair of the dog.
I don't remember what kind of mimosas these were except they had pomegranate in them but they were yummy!

I went and bought some brake pads for my car because I thought they needed to be replaced.  After taking off four tires I realized my front pads just needed some lube (twss).  I did a lot of working out this weekend without even trying!  Now on to really working out...

I read so many blogs and they always have monday goals.  I decided I NEED that so bad.  I have been slacking with food and working and really feel it. So here they are....

1. Food prep--I do this a lot anyway but I haven't been eating it. No more wasting food!

2. Get my butt up at 5am and workout.  I don't have any other time lately so I'm doing it.  That also means going to bed early...bummer

3. Workout at least 4 times this week.  It doesn't sound like much but its a start!

How was your weekend??

Have a great week everyone!!

Progress Not Perfection

For the last 7-8 weeks I have been doing a personal workout plan and have loved it.  I have been eating clean maybe 80% of the time and trying to be active as much as possible.  I admit working out is hard, I would much rather sit on the couch and watch NCIS like I always do lol  Sometimes I get on IG and see all these amazing ladies and how hard they work and I get my ass off the couch and just do it!  Once I start it is so easy and truthfully I have a hard time stopping!

I posted a progress pic on IG the other day and everyone was so great and supportive.  I can't tell much of a difference when I look at the pictures myself but I can feel it in the way my clothes fit and the way I feel in general!  I have a ways to go before I get to my goals but progress not perfection right?! It isn't easy but will be worth it!

First let me just say that it doesn't matter if you are 500 pounds or 100 posting pictures of yourself on the Internet is nerve racking.  So be nice!!

I see the most progress in my stomach, which let's face it is the most important!

Sorry for the up close and personal.  I thought everyone wanted to see my butt that close lol  I have always had a nice ass (Did I just compliment myself? shock!)  but with all those squats it just keeps getting better!

progress in my tummy! yay!

Hard to tell I know but my arms have gotten stronger and do you see that? No more love handles!!!!

Dinner Plan, Meal Prep and a Victory!

This morning I ran a 5k! I'm so excited and proud of myself!

I started out saying that I was going to run 20 minutes without stopping then when I got there I said "Oh 5 more minutes will be easy", then I got to 30 and checked my distance.  I was almost at 3.1 might as well keep going. Thank goodness for 90's Hip Hip on Pandora and Tupac.  They got me through it!  I was slow but who cares?!  I have a little over a month until I run a real one...outside.  The weather needs to quit being bi-polar so I can practice outside!

We will call this week's dinner plan the Pinterest plan.  I just made a bunch of stuff that looked good, nothing I made on my own.  I was too busy being a crafty crafter!

Sunday and Monday I only spent a couple hours making 8 things!  I even had 6 things in the oven at one time.  I do not have to cook the rest of this week and possibly some of next week!  Completely worth the time!

Here is my list of things I made:

Meatballs with a sauce of BBQ and grape Jelly. This one is for Marcus....even though they are amazing.

Black Bean, Quinoa Casserole-This was so good I couldn't wait for it to cool down before I ate some!

Quinoa Pizza Balls (I love balls haha)-And I might have a slight love for quinoa these days. I haven't tried these yet but they smelled good!

Homemade Greek Yogurt-This wasn't a lot of work but took a total of 16 hours.  I haven't tried it but hopefully it is good.  If it is, it will be worth it!

Oatmeal Cookies-So easy and healthy.  They satisfy a sweet tooth....and I may have put some chocolate chips in them:)

Skinny Potato Casserole-YUM-No need to say more

Quinoa Apple Cake-This was weird at first and I discovered coconut oil doesn't taste great in baking but it was still ok.  Kind of like a crumbly coffee cake.

Turkey bacon, egg cups-Egg beaters, Turkey bacon, Spinach, and tomatoes.

I also made quinoa, oatmeal and brown rice.  Chopped up cucumbers, lettuce, kale and spinach.

I think it took me an hour each day and of course just checking on the yogurt!

Quinoa and Oatmeal

Meatballs and Apple Quinoa Bread

Egg cups and Hash brown Casserole

One of these days I will get a fancy camera to take pretty pictures!

Happy Tuesday!!

30 Day Ab Challenge-Update

30 days ago I started the 30 Day Ab Challenge (Ok a couple days late, forgive me)  I don't know what I was expecting exactly, just something better than the wine belly I had.  I wasn't expecting a 6 pack and over the 30 days I have looked at my stomach and said to myself "Nothing has changed, quit eating crap" lol

I was WRONG!  I took a before and after picture and maybe you can't tell but my tummy has gotten, tighter and toned.  Yayyyyy!  It is so great to look on the mirror and realize your hard work is paying off!

Can you tell the difference?? I can't wait to see what it looks like in another 30 days.

Confession I only did the 30 Day Ab Challenge maybe ten times.  Workouts bore the crap out of me so I have to mix it up constantly.  Regardless I saw results!

I can't decide if I should post this on instagram?  I know people in real life there and I don't know if they want to see my stomach lol

My Fitness Pal Challenge

This is Day 15 for me on My Fitness Pal.  I have been reading Mama Laughlin's blog for awhile and along the way have discovered all these great, inspiring and very entertaining women.  I don't need to lose weight but I definitely need to get in shape.  I have decided to participate in Operation Red Bikini because I don't remember EVER wearing a bikini.  Thanks to those inspiring women I am doing it!!  This summer I will be rockin' that bikini and I will have some confidence.  I have definitely lost that over the years and I'm getting my sexy back!

I have definitely been eating better and MFP helps because when I see how many calories are in something it makes me ill.  How did this cookie, chips, pizza, and pasta addict consume that many calories a day? GROOOOSSSSS!  I have also been trying to eat more veggies and fish (gag).  I am doing it though and very proud of myself.  Thanks Lora for the link up and the inspiration!

If you want to be my MFP friend find me here.  Don't mind that it says I have lost 10 pounds, I have really only lost 4 but instead of weighing myself in the beginning I guessed oops!

30 Day Ab Challenge

Ok So I did a long post on this yesterday and blogger deleted it...what the heck??  So here I go again, let's see if I can remember it all.

I have started eating healthy and working out.  Today I am doing a workout by a Victoria Secret trainer.  It is ten minutes, YES 10 MINUTES!  Who doesn't have that amount of time?  Especially if someday you may look like a VS Supermodel? (A girl can dream) *Update-I did it and my legs are hurting today!

I have also decided to do the 30 Day Ab Challenge.  I weigh about 135 pounds and I know some of you are thinking "What a beotch!"  The average weight for my height is 120 pounds, so I am overweight lol  I don't feel overweight I just want to be toned and strong.  I am going to post before pictures and yes I know it doesn't look like I have much to get rid of but everyone wants a flat tummy right?!

I will post some after photos on February 2nd (Hopefully with some better light).  Anyone want to join me on this?  I could use some partners:)  Hope you all have a great weekend!
